A heat pump is a system that extracts heat from a low-temperature source (such as outdoor air, ground, or water) and transfers it to an indoor environment at a higher temperature. In simple terms, the heat pump “captures” the heat present in nature and uses it to heat your home.
The operating cycle of a heat pump is based on a refrigerant fluid that circulates within a closed circuit. This fluid, thanks to a compressor, undergoes a series of transformations that allow it to extract heat from the external environment and transfer it inside the building.
Heat Pumps are extremely versatile, as they can be used for both heating and cooling, ensuring optimal comfort in all seasons.
Why are they so efficient?
The efficiency of heat pumps is based on their ability to transfer heat from a low-temperature environment to a high-temperature one, using a relatively small amount of electrical energy. This makes them an ideal choice for those who want to reduce their energy consumption and their ecological footprint.
The European Union has placed energy efficiency and decarbonization at the center of its energy policies. In this context, heat pumps represent a key technology to achieve these goals.
Compact or split aggregates, air or water. Our selected proposals
The air/water heat pumps proposed by DAE Energia can be divided into three families: Perfecta Series, Hydrosplit Series, Inside Series.
“Perfecta” Series: compact 4-pipe systems for heating, cooling and production of domestic hot water by means of an integrated boiler with total recovery for external or internal installation
“Hydrosplit” Series: 4-pipe split systems for heating, cooling and production of domestic hot water by means of an integrated boiler with total recovery
“Inside” Series: compact ducted indoor systems with 2 pipes for heating, cooling and production of domestic hot water by means of a separate boiler.
The combined unit with heat pump PKOM4 was developed and manufactured for use in ventilation and air recirculation with additional heating and cooling functions (PKOM4 Trend) and domestic hot water production (PKOM4 Classic).
It is a compact ventilation unit equipped with an air/air heat pump for heating and cooling (PKOM4 Trend) and a double heat pump for models with domestic hot water production (PKOM4 Classic).
Air-to-water heat pumps mostly use the outside air as a heat source. Due to their relatively low initial cost, they are currently enjoying increasing popularity for low-energy homes.
Unfortunately, they all have the disadvantage that, as the outside air temperature drops, and therefore when the heating demand increases, their efficiency is penalized and consequently their performance.
The ExAir RX-C series heat pumps introduce a new system concept in which the exhaust air of the building is used as a heat source, thus maintaining the efficiency of the system unchanged regardless of the external conditions, optimizing its operation.
